The Orapup comes from the inventor of the Orabrush, which is a tongue scraper that helps people clean their tongues to eliminate bad breath.
The inventor of the product says that when he learned that as much as 90% of bad breath comes from a dirty tongue, he invented the Orabrush. It was not long after that that people were asking for something similar that can be used on their pets.

We did find one negative review on a blog from someone that said they own the Orabrush (the human version), and it works great, so they were excited about using the Orapup on their dog. They said that when they scrape their tongue with the human version of the tongue cleaner “white and sometimes yellow gunk [sic] comes off and my tongue and mouth feel much cleaner.” They said that when they use the Orapup on their dog there is none of the “gunk” that they expected to see.

Although a lot of customers are saying that the Orapup works great at correcting their dog’s bad breath, it is important to note that your dog will not have minty fresh breath as if they were chewing gum or eating breath mints.
After all, we’re talking about bacon and beef flavored gels, not peppermint or wintergreen.
